Rain
When wind driven rain blows sideways at 100 miles per hour, a lot of damage can be caused by even the smallest leak! Stonehenge Roofing Products are designed to overlap in a stair-step fashion, mechanically fastened to a batten system that is secured to your home’s frame in such a way that even the most ferocious rain has no chance of penetrating the panels. Zincalume eliminates the threat of rust. And, you’re further protected by Stonehenge’s "Lifetime Limited Weatherproof Warranty".

Wind
Wind does not have a chance to catch the bottom edge of the panels. Because they are mechanically fastened in such a way, that virtually eliminates any blow-off. Stonehenge is so confident in this feature that they have a "120-mph Wind Warranty". Stonehenge Roofs have not only passed tests with much higher wind speeds, but also passed “real world” tests on homes in neighborhoods that have faced some of the worst storms. With gusts a lot more powerful than 120-mph and flying debris.

Heat
Want a roof that will help protect you from the intense heat of the sun?
Stonehenge Roofing is raised above the surface beneath it by about 2.5 inches. This provides an insulated dead air space reducing how far the radiant heat of the sun can penetrate into the roof and in essence shading the materials below. Most other roof products lay flat against the plywood or skip sheeting thereby directly transferring any heat absorbed by the sun to the materials and room below. In addition it is strongly recommended in hot climates to add a reflective radiant barrier and insulation - to reduce the amount of heat entering the home. This keeps it cooler and more comfortable on a hot day. And, also greatly reduces the expensive energy requirements to air-condition a space.

Impact
Whether it be wind driven debris in a hurricane, stray golf balls, or golf-ball sized hail, Stonehenge provides excellent protection for impact of flying objects. An advantage of steel is it does not break! Stonehenge comes with a 2.5 inch hail warranty and has a UL 2218 Class 4 Hail impact rating (the best that can be achieved).

Fire
Stonehenge Roof’s base is steel with a stone coating which does not burn. In many firestorms, homes with Stonehenge Roofing are often among the few remaining homes. This is because hot embers that land on the roof will not burn the steel as they would normally with a wooden or composite roof such as asphalt.

Earthquake
During an earthquake heavy roofs can crumble down, crushing everything below them. Stonehenge Roofs allow you to relax with the knowledge that the roof above you is one of the lightest available. A Stonehenge Roof only weighs 1.4 pounds per square foot. In addition, because of the way a Stonehenge Roof fastens to the framing members of the roof... Stonehenge adds shear strength to the entire structure, helping hold it all together.

… and the best protection!
This is where Stonehenge Roofing Products really shine! Our "LIFETIME limited WARRANTY" is the best in the industry! In so many words you are protected from manufacturing defects in both the steel itself AND the surface coatings for as long as you own your home. If you transfer your warranty to the next successive owner, that owner is covered for 50 years from the date the roof was installed. The warranty is non-prorated for 50 years no matter how many times it is transferred. A real selling point for you, and real protection for them! This is a real win-win warranty for all involved. Read other warranties carefully and see what they really say.
